PROCESS HEATER

BELGIUM

PROCESS HEATER

255 MW Heater
Problem

Heater temperature limited due to
fireside conditions.

After Therma-Chem Treatment
When treatment started on the 9th of June
throughput was limited to 215MW. It can
be seen from the graph on the right that the
throughput gradually increased throughout
the duration of the chemical treatment
reaching an average of 235MW from
November through to June.

This increase was maintained throughout the
Therma-Chem treatment period and enabled
the refinery to produce an extra 40,000 BPD
compared to the previous year.
