The history of Therma-Chem.
Two Entrepreneurs Ron Semple and Robert Moffatt started developing a unique chemical formula and called the business Interchem.
1984
Therma-Chem is formed.
1984
ICI become Therma-Chem’s first client.
1985
Enter the Refining market at BP Grangemouth.
1989
Started working with Esso at the Fawley Refinery.
1993
Treated first 500 MW Boiler for the Central Electricity Board (CEGB).
1997
Head office site established with manufacturing plant.
1998
Appointed first Distributor, Energy Serv in Romania.
2001
Began working with Shell at the Stanlow Refinery in the UK.
2002
Entered the Canadian market at Shell, Montreal.
2006
Therma-Chem’s technology used in a Joint Initiative between the Romanian and the Danish Governments resulting in Therma-Chem receiving UNFCCC accreditation.
2007
Enter the Singapore market via ExxonMobil and Shell.
2011
Appoint our first SE Asian Agent, KLAY EnerSol, based in Malaysia.
2013
Project at SWCC in Saudi Arabia recognised as an approved methodology for reducing carbon emissions via CDM applications by the UNFCCC.
2014
Appoint Japanese Distributors, Oxalis Chemicals.
2020
Initial Global Sales Conference in Bangkok, Thailand.
2022
Appoint Thailand Distributors, Phothi-Ratana Engineering, and secure first Asian biomass client, Songkhla Biomass.
2022
Enter the American power sector with a trial at DTE Energy.
2024
Successfully completed first HRSG online chemical cleaning project in Japan at TOA Oil Refining Co.
